Tottenham are on of a number of Premier League clubs being linked with a move for Matias Soulé, with Calciomercato bringing Spurs into the picture.
The 20-year-old versatile player is on loan at Frosinone for the season, but is owned by Juventus. The Turin club see him as a way of getting cash through the door without losing anyone from their current squad.
Matias Soulé has scored six goals and contributed an assist in 12 Serie A matches so far this season, and that’s why there’s interest.
According to the report from Calciomercato, Tottenham have been monitoring the player’s situation since last summer. Presumably they’re happy with what they’ve seen during the loan at Frosinone.
Interestingly, Sunday’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport reported Juventus’ technical director Cristiano Giuntoli has travelled to London with the hope of building a deal for Soulé.
Calciomercato say Giuntoli wants €20m+, and Gazzetta put it at €20-25m.
It’s worth noting that Tottenham have been linked repeatedly with Samuel Iling-Junior, another Juventus youngster, in recent weeks.
The links, multiple players being mentioned, multiple clubs credited with interest, and Giuntoli flying to London… all points at a desperation from Juventus to sell a youngster to the English market.
