Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso has already given his ‘approval’ to a move to Napoli this summer, and the Italian champions are ‘working on a new coup’ as a result.
That’s according to TuttoMercatoWeb, who say after taking Tanguy Ndombele on loan from Tottenham last season, Napoli are now looking at a loan deal for Lo Celso this year.
TMW state that the Serie A champions needs to find a new midfielder for their squad after Ndombele’s loan spell came to an end and he wasn’t bought on a permanent basis.
The midfielder has already given his ‘approval’ to such an operation, but it is Tottenham who need convincing of it.
They’re not open to a loan deal and would prefer to sell outright, asking for a figure around €25m despite the fact the Argentine is not a part of their plans moving forwards.
Real Betis are also interested, again only in a loan deal, with Tottenham also resisting their advances as a result of that.
They simply don’t want to loan out Lo Celso at this moment in time, but Napoli are ‘working on a new coup’ post Ndombele, presumably one which involves them convincing Spurs to change their minds.
