On Friday, we carried a report from Sky Italia, who explained that Tottenham Hotspur are at the window for AS Roma’s Nicolò Zaniolo.
It was also stated Spurs chief Fabio Paratici met the Serie A side’s general manager, Tiago Pinto, in Milan on Thursday, and asked for information about the winger’s situation.
Prior to meeting Paratici, Pinto held talks with the 22-year-old’s agent, Claudio Vigorelli, to discuss his client’s renewal. The two parties are expected to hold further talks in the coming months, if Zaniolo is doesn’t leave Roma this summer.
Il Messaggero have a report on Saturday which states that Zaniolo’s ‘fate would seem to have been sealed’. When discussing his suitors, Tottenham are tagged.
The report adds there was a meeting between Pinto, Vigorelli and Federico Cherubini, the Turin club’s sporting director. Roma have opened up to the possibility of letting Zaniolo leave on loan with an ‘obligation to redeem’ set at €45-50m.
They are refusing to lower these claims.
Juve responded by including Arthur, Moise Kean and Aaron Ramsey as part of the deal, but José Mourinho’s side are not interested in this formula.
Il Messaggero state the loan offer was also made to Milan, while Tottenham have made an approach.
With Roma ready to let the player leave on loan and Paratici already contacting Pinto earlier this week, it needs to be seen whether Spurs will make an attempt to sign him this summer.
