The Italian media is today again speaking of Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Torino defender Perr Schuurs.

La Stampa, relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb, claim that Spurs have made a ‘strong comeback’ for the player.

It’s said that with the sale of Harry Kane to Bayern Munich, Tottenham ‘certainly’ have no problems affording the signing this time.

This week, Torino president Urbano Cairo reassured his club’s fans, saying their objective is to keep Schuurs in the squad for this season, so it will clearly not be an easy task to sign him.

The good news for Tottenham is that, according to reports from Italy on Friday, the likes of Crystal Palace and Liverpool are dropping out of the race for the 23-year-old.

With Torino making big demands to sell him, it’s been claimed that those English clubs are no longer trying to work on a deal with the Italian side.

Speaking of Tottenham’s interest, outlet Torino Granata claimed this week that the price to sign Schuurs this summer is between €35m and €40m, so we shall see if Spurs will be willing to pay that.
