Tottenham are facing competition from AC Milan in the hunt for Real Betis striker Loren Morón.
That’s according to Il Milanista, who say the Serie A side have targeted the striker after his impressive performances this season.
Morón has been in solid form this season, bagging 11 goals and three assists in three games and topping the La Liga goalscoring charts earlier in the season.
That has attracted attention from Europe, namely the Premier League and Tottenham, who have been credited with an interest.
Reports from Spain in recent months have indicated that Tottenham have ‘assessed’ the striker ahead of a move and that he would be keen on the transfer should it be available.
Their apparent interest has now been backed up in Italy, with Il Milanist claiming that Spurs are ‘on his tracks’ alongside AC Milan and Napoli.
They report that Milan have identified the 26-year-old as a possible signing this summer, adding him to the list of names they are ‘examining’ as they search to improve their offensive options.
They state that Morón has a ‘large number of suitors’ as his contract expires in 2022, which doesn’t make much sense as Betis wouldn’t really need to sell for another year at least if he isn’t going to sign a new deal.
The website makes no mention of an asking price for the forward, although it has been claimed elsewhere that Betis want €60m.
Whatever the final price may be, it seems if Tottenham do want him, they will have to fight with Milan for his signature.
