Calciomercato talks about Juventus’ interest in Tanguy Ndombele after he caught the attention of their sporting director Fabio Paratici, who was watching Adrien Rabiot in PSG’s 5-0 win over Lyon earlier this month.
The 21-year-old’s great ‘physicality and intensity’ makes him the ideal candidate to be deployed in the Old Lady’s midfield, but his signing is not viewed as a priority for them.
It’s claimed by the Italian website that the Serie A winners will face competition from England as Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Manchester City are all in the race for the midfielder.
The report also mentions that Lyon have already fixed the price tag, which is believed to be around €40m and could rise if Ndombele continues to impress with his display.
In September, L’Equipe reported that Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy ‘verbally expressed’ his club’s willingness to pay €45m, which was not sufficient for the Ligue 1 outfit.
If the earlier report from France is true, then it is unlikely that Lyon will part ways with Ndombele for €40m, especially after he signed a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2023.
