Tottenham Hotspur are showing an interest in Inter Milan pair Geoffrey Kondogbia and Jeison Murillo, according to claims in the Italian media.
TMW claim Tottenham sent scouts to the San Siro last night to watch the game between Inter Milan and Sampdoria. It’s been suggested the Premier League side were getting a lowdown on Kondogbia ahead of the summer transfer window.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is already looking to next season, and weighing up possible recruits he can bring in during the next window. The Argentine will be looking to strengthen his squad, given the North London side look likely to grab a Champions League spot again.
It’s also claimed Tottenham are interested in Kondogbia’s Inter Milan teammate Murillo, but the Colombian defender didn’t feature in Sampdoria’s 2-1 victory.
Whilst there’d be little reason to doubt the presence of a Tottenham official at the match, the claimed targets may well be wrong. Tottenham have been linked with 21 year old Patrik Schick recently, and he found the back of the net for Sampdoria.
Also for Sampdoria, 21 year old Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira has been excellent this season and was good again against Inter. Tottenham interest in those two is surely likelier than Kondogbia.
Tottenham have also been linked with Inter’s Marcelo Brozovic, but Monday’s match wasn’t one of his best.
