As Italian outlet Calciomercato today features a long story gathering many transfer rumours which have been circling Juventus, there’s an interesting mention to Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Weston McKennie.
The website names Spurs as a potential destination for the midfielder this summer, as Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici intend to ‘pay attention again’ to the Serie A market.
Following a couple of moves Tottenham have already been making, it’s now claimed that the director ‘particularly likes’ the profile of McKennie.
Calciomercato writes that the American, who was signed by Juventus for €25m, is now valued at €40m, even though there’s no information on how much Spurs would like to pay for his signing.
With 29 appearances for Juventus this season, McKennie struggled with a couple of injuries which left him sidelined for a long time, having missed three months with a metatarsal fracture in the final stretch of their Serie A campaign.
Since Tottenham appear to have become specialists in the Italian market, especially when it comes to Juventus, any rumours about their interest in a player from the Old Lady could certainly turn into something serious quickly.
