According to Turkish newspaper Takvim, Tottenham Hotspur are still interested in Fenerbahce forward Vedat Muriqi and they could make an offer in the summer to secure his signature.
The Kosovan striker has been in impressive form for the Yellow Canaries since joining the club last summer from Caykur Rizespor for €3.5m, and his performances have led to interest from other clubs, including Tottenham.
Takvim claim Tottenham are one of the clubs who are ‘insistent’ on Muriqi and Jose Mourinho’s side are expected to knock on Fenerbahce’s door with a €20m bid in the near future.
It’s stated the North London club are looking for an adequate back up to their star striker Harry Kane, and the Fener player fits the profile.
The Yellow Canaries could be forced to sell their star man in the summer transfer window because of their poor financial situation.
Recent reports in the Italian media suggested Lazio are also interested in signing the player.
Muriqi has scored 15 goals for his club this season and his contract with the Super Lig side will expire at the end of June 2023.
