On January 16th, Sport reported that Tottenham have rekindled their interest in Malcom and are considering ‘negotiating transfer’ for the Barcelona winger.

The same publication has now provided an update on the Brazilian, who arrived at Camp Nou from Bordeaux last summer.

Under Ernesto Valverde’s guidance, he’s struggled for minutes and has one start in the league, playing 127 minutes in La Liga and the Champions League across seven appearances in both competitions.

Limited playing time has seen the player and the Spanish champions decide to find a ‘way out’ in January.

It’s claimed the Catalan club are ‘already negotiating’ with Spurs for Malcom and it all started on Wednesday, when the latter contacted Barca to know about his situation.

The Blaugrana are willing to allow Malcom join the north London club on loan and as a part of the deal, they will include a ‘compulsory purchase option’ that will force the Premier League outfit to sign him in the summer.

Sport say Malcom will ‘probably’ now end up joining Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.

Meanwhile, Sport also mentions that Malcom has received a €50m offer from Chinese side Guangzhou Evergrande, where the slot of a foreign player is vacant following Ricardo Goulart’s departure.
