Tottenham inclined to use player as ‘bargaining chip’ – Value him at €35m, will put offer on table

Inter Milan are top of the Serie A table and that’s seen the club’s local media get a little carried with the level of some of the club’s players and the amount of interest there is in them.

In that regard, InterLive say Denzel Dumfries could be off to the Premier League, initially mentioning interest from Chelsea and Manchester United.

It’s then stated a swap deal involving Tottenham could be the end outcome. According to the report, Spurs are well aware that Inter have had a long term interest in Emerson Royal and therefore could use him in any deal.

Tottenham are said to value the Brazilian at €35m, and would put him on the table for a straight swap with Dumfries. That would enable the Dutchman to move to the Premier League and earn more money, and allow Emerson to leave Spurs, something he’s presented as being prepared to do.

As it stands, Inter value Dumfries at €50m, but if they don’t get a renewal signed soon they’ll have to rethink that. The 27-year-old has a contract lasting until June 2025, so the pressure is on come the summer.

Tottenham can then use their player as a ‘bargaining chip’, and put the offer of his registration ‘on the table’.
