Nikola Milenkovic spent much of last summer being linked with a move to West Ham United.
At the time his contract was set to expire in June of this year, and the Hammers were looking for a bargain deal given that situation. In the end, West Ham couldn’t get the deal they were looking for, and Milenkovic renewed his contract with Fiorentina.
However, he only extended by a further year, meaning the Serie A club are in the same situation again. Corriere Fiorentino say that this time the Premier League club showing interest is Tottenham Hotspur, with Inter Milan, Juventus and Atletico Madrid also keen.
Antonio Conte is thought to be a fan, and Milenkovic could be a replacement for Japhet Tanganga.
Tottenham are thought to be out in front with Juventus, and the Italian newspaper says Spurs are expected to carry out ‘in-depth studies’ of the deal today. That will almost certainly involve asking Fiorentina, or the player’s agent, how much the transfer would cost.
Spurs, just like West Ham, will be looking for a bargain deal for the 24-year-old, and it’s stated the asking price is €15m.
