Tottenham star Hugo Lloris has claimed Jose Mourinho is trying to implement in a ‘culture of winning’ at the club.
Mourinho was a surprise appointment at the club last year, who moved quickly to secure his signature after deciding to sack Mauricio Pochettino.
His arrival at the club was one that left many scratching their heads, with the Portuguese boss’ style the complete opposite to what Pochettino had worked to set up during his stay with the club.
The hope, though, is that Mourinho can bring trophies to the club given his long and impressive records of success wherever he has gone.
That is something that could happen this season, with Tottenham sitting second in the Premier League after eight games of the season.
Spurs fans are certainly hoping that is the case and Lloris says they are all working towards that goal.
“I am lucky to be able to be coached by José Mourinho,” RMC Sport report him saying at a press conference for the French national side.
“I don’t need to introduce him; he is one of the greatest coaches of the last few years.
“He has this culture of winning, and that’s what he is trying to establish at Tottenham who are in need of trophies.
“We’re trying to move forward together and create something in order to achieve these goals.
“We did not talk more than that about tomorrow’s game. Obviously, as a Portuguese, he follows the national team and its great talents that make up this team.”
