There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Tottenham Hotspur are showing an interest in Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir.
The 23 year old has now established himself as the No.1 with the Super Lig side and his performances have brought him to the attention of other clubs, including the North London side.
According to Trabzon based media outlet 61 Saat, Tottenham are now following the progress of Cakir after he broke into the Turkish national team earlier this year. It’s claimed the Premier League side will continue to watch the player throughout this season.
Now regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the Super Lig, Cakir made his debut for Turkey in May and he’s seen as the future for the national side.
The player is under contract with Trabzonspor until June 2024 after recently extending his deal with the Turkish club.
