Sporx claim Vincent Janssen’s future at Fenerbahce will be decided after the upcoming presidential elections.

The Dutchman is currently on loan with the Yellow Canaries from Tottenham Hotspur, and there have been recent suggestions he could remain in Turkey.

Fenerbahce are due to select their new president on the 3rd of June, and Sporx say the Tottenham player’s situation will then become clearer.

The current board and technical staff at Fenerbahce want to work with the Dutch striker for another season, and Janssen has said he’d be happy to continue with the Turkish club.

Janssen missed almost 4 months of the season through injury, but when he was available his work rate impressed the coaching Fenerbahce staff, even if there was a lack of goals.

However, it’s currently unknown whether presidential candidate Ali Y. Koc wants to re-sign Janssen for next season. In recent days Koc has been critical about the deal done with Tottenham last summer when he suggested they paid over the odds (€5m for the season) to loan the player.

It seems unlikely the 24 year old will be in Mauricio Pochettino’s plans for next season and it’s almost certain the striker will have to find another club in the summer.
