On Wednesday, La Repubblica reported Tottenham Hotspur are set to make a ‘super-offer’ to Antonio Conte to tie him down to a new contract until 2025.
It was also explained Spurs are willing to improve the manager’s salary to €20m per year and offer him a €200m budget to further bolster their squad.
The claim of Tottenham planning to hand a hefty budget to Conte is echoed by InterLive, who then discuss which player could end up at the north London club.
It’s not the first time the Argentina international has ended up on Spurs’ radar. According to the report, they tried signing him in 2021, by making a ‘maxi-offer’ of €90m. The Nerazzurri rejected it since they had already sold Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku in the summer of that year.
Despite the past disappointment, the report states Tottenham are expected to return to sign the 25-year-old next summer.
