Tottenham were close to signing AC Milan’s Fikayo Tomori in the January transfer window.
While the player rejected the move, it has been clear from the recent past that Spurs are no strangers to signing players from Serie A. Dejan Kulusevski, Rodrigo Bentancur, Guglielmo Vicario and Destiny Udogie are examples of that.
There is now a possibility that Tottenham could be ready to move for another Serie A player, and one who has a background at local rivals Arsenal.
MilanLive believe that the player in question is Tomori’s club teammate Yunus Musah, who arrived at the San Siro from Valencia in the summer of 2023.
The outlet believe that Tottenham are ‘carefully evaluating’ the situation of the 22-year-old United States international, who is playing a ‘wildcard’ role under manager Sergio Conceicao and has impressed in midfield and on the right wing.
The report believes that Milan refused a sale to Napoli last summer because the club’s management trusted his abilities. There is more Premier League interest in him and this could tempt the Rossoneri into a sale.
Musah is a product of Arsenal’s youth academy, which puts an interesting twist on any move to Tottenham.
