Despite Tottenham Hotspur seemingly sending out a denial of interest in Wilmar Barrios, the claims of a potential deal continue in South America.
A few days ago we covered the latest claims that Spurs have an agreement to sign the Colombian and will look to pay Boca Juniors €23m for a January transfer.
That came after similar claims as far back as June, and if there is some truth in interest, it could be that the claims, largely coming from Argentina, are at least a little exaggerated.
But they don’t stop.
El Crack Deportivo report, according to their own information, that Tottenham sent ’emissaries’ to watch Barrios in action for Boca against Palmeiras this week.
Once again it’s stated Tottenham have ‘everything agreed’ with the player’s representative for a transfer, with it being added only final details are being defined.
Boca themselves haven’t had an offer yet, but it’s stated the club ‘begin to miss him’ already.
That’s because he’s an excellent player.
Go Caracol say Barrios ‘was everywhere’ as Boca beat Palmerias 2-0 in the Copa Libertadores, and ‘vital’ in midfield.
