Franck Kessie wasn’t the subject of many rumours during the summer window, which was surprising given the player has less than a year left on his current contract.
AC Milan have been working on a renewal, but they haven’t yet managed to get close enough to what the midfielder’s agent is demanding, believed to be around €7m a year after tax.
The chance of an impressive free agent signing is therefore on the horizon, and Calciomercato report Tottenham Hotspur have moved into the picture. Fabio Paratici repeatedly targeted free agents whilst in charge of transfer business at Juventus, and it would be him leading the interest from Spurs.
Tottenham would face competition from PSG, after Monday saw claims the Ligue 1 club are already making efforts for Kessie, and could try for a low cost move in January.
AC Milan haven’t given up on keeping their player and will clearly continue to try and secure a renewal. Should they fail, then it’s certain other clubs will join Tottenham and PSG in the race for the 24-year-old.
