Following the many rumours this week regarding the future of Tottenham Hotspur winger Lucas Moura, we now see Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola talking about his situation.
It was reported in the past few days that the player could soon move back to São Paulo, and in an interview, he admitted that he’d like to be back to the club at the end of his contract with Spurs.
With fans hopeful that could happen still this year, Nicola now shows up claiming this possibility ‘does not exist’, as it’s ‘impossible’ he’d make that move this summer.
Moura has two more years left in his contract with Tottenham, and according to the report, the London side would demand between €15m and €20m to let him go now.
So for those who expect Moura to return to São Paulo, Nicola says they must wait at least until the end of his contract with Tottenham, which expires in 2024.
In an interview this week, the player claimed it’s indeed very unlikely he’ll leave Spurs this summer, as the club already told him they want him to stay.
