Tottenham Hotspur’s Moussa Sissoko is in advanced talks with Watford, according to reports.

Recent claims in the British press have explained the Hornets want to the sign the 32-year-old before the window closes.

France manager Didier Deschamps didn’t include the midfielder in Les Bleus squad for September’s international break, citing his lack of playing time at Spurs as the reason for his omission.

With Watford showing interest in the former Newcastle United man, he could change his situation in the coming months to regain his place in the national team.

That’s according to L’Equipe, who relay reports from England about the player being in ‘advanced negotiations’ with Xisco’s side.

Sissoko has ‘understood for several weeks’ he’s not included in Nuno Espírito Santo’s plans at Tottenham.

There were several Middle Easte clubs believed to have taken an interest in the north London club’s man, but he didn’t favour a move there.

Watford have now come forward and L’Equipe say they and Tottenham ‘continued the discussions’ on Friday, with a view to finding a ‘quick’ solution. The outlet, however, have not yet found out about the fee Nuno’s side would earn if the deal goes through.
