Following claims yesterday that Leicester City watched Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi on Friday against Genclerbirligi, Milliyet today report Tottenham scouts also travelled to Istanbul to get a lowdown on the Kosovan striker.
According to Milliyet, Tottenham remain interested in the Fenerbahce player, and the Premier League side have reportedly commenced their operation to sign him for next season.
The 25 year old scored twice against Genclerbirligi, taking to him to ten goals for the season, whilst also impressing with his overall display.
It’s reported both Fener and the player are aware of the interest from the Premier League side, but Muriqi could still remain with the Super Lig club for another season, especially if they qualify for the Champions League.
Tottenham were strongly linked with a move for Muriqi when Mauricio Pochettino was in charge, after reports the London side have watched the attacker on several occasions this season.
The former Rizespor player is under contract with Fenerbahce until June 2023.
