Tottenham have had quite a bit of success from signing players from Serie A in recent years.
Dejan Kulusevski, Guglielmo Vicario and Destiny Udogie are excellent examples of how Spurs have managed to find the best buys in Italy.
It doesn’t seem as if Tottenham are backing away from landing more stars from the country and InterLive today mention their interest in Inter Milan’s Davide Frattesi.
The report states that Spurs want to upgrade their midfield and could make a ‘significant offer’ of about €35m for the Italian, who is struggling for game time under Simone Inzaghi.
An offer like that will be difficult to reject for Inter, who would make a capital gain from the sale as they signed him for about €31m.
Due to their financial power, Tottenham could also offer 25-year-old Frattesi a higher wage than the €2.8m per season that he earns right now.
Whether Frattesi would want an exit or not is not made clear but he has already ‘complained’ about his lack of game time at the San Siro, the report states.
That could make a move to Tottenham easier, with the possibility of them making an offer said to be growing.
