On January 26th, journalist Gökmen Özcan reported Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are closely following Beşiktaş’ Semih Kılıçsoy.

The north London club keeping tabs on the 18-year-old was backed up by Habertürk two days ago.

Tottenham and Aston Villa are keen on signing the forward. That’s according to Sports Digitale, who took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share latest claims from journalist Ertan Süzgün.

He claims the Premier League duo are ‘seriously interested’ in securing Kılıçsoy’s services and already made attempts in the winter market.

Süzgün adds Spurs and Unai Emery’s side held talks for the Turkey U19 international, but the Black Eagles informed the English clubs that they weren’t planning to sell him ‘for the time being’.

On January 2nd, Kılıçsoy committed his long-term future to the Istanbul club by signing a deal until 2028. Earlier this month, Beşiktaş board member Feyyaz Uçar admitted that his side can’t retain the youngster for “many years”.

A transfer is not on the cards in the summer as the journalist states the player wants to stay at Beşiktaş next season. Kılıçsoy and his entourage believe he could further improve his form at the club next season.

Kılıçsoy has nine goals and an assist from 22 games this season.
