Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Chelsea are all following Fenerbahce defender Kim Min-jae, according to claims today.
Portuguese journalist Pedro Sepulveda reports that at the weekend, the defender was scouted by several clubs during his match against Trabzonspor.
The scouts present at Fenerbahce’s game were from Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, FC Porto, and Juventus.
There are not many details on how advanced the interest in Kim Min-jae is for now. The report only says that Porto manager Sérgio Conceição likes him, and since the Dragons are losing Chancel Mbemba in the summer, they could go for his signing.
That explains the special interest from Portugal and Pedro Sepulveda.
The South Korea defender joined Fenerbahce last summer. He was playing for BJ Guoan in China, and joined the Turkish side for a €3m fee. Now following a good start at his new club, he’s already valued by Transfermarkt at €9m, and is expected to be worth even more.
In case Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea do join an auction for the player, then that will undoubtedly rise his price, perhaps even harming Porto’s chances of signing him.
