Having already played for seven different clubs at the age of 23, Leonardo Spinazzola is something of an Italian nomad, all the while being contracted to Juventus.
Loaned out to a multitude of clubs, the left midfielder was temporarily sent to Atalanta until 2018, yet that deal could be cut short if Gazzetta’s transfer odds are to be believed.
The young midfielder is allegedly being followed by Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham, who are said to have already made in approach regarding a possible deal in the summer, yet a stay at Juventus is more likely.
Unfortunately for Spurs, the Serie A champions are keen to give the player a chance next season, suggesting they could recall him early from his time at Atalanta, at which point he would sign a new deal with them for the foreseeable future.
Of course, a good offer from Tottenham would certainly make Juventus think twice about doing so, and the opportunity to cash in on a player that is yet to make a first-team appearance for them could certainly be an attractive proposition.
As things stand, Mauricio Pochettino is given a 20% chance of bringing Leonardo Spinazzola to White Hart Lane next season, while a return to Juventus is far more likely at 60%.
Tottenham are certainly given some hope by Gazzetta, but it’s slim.
The Atalanta midfielder has made 24 appearances this season in all competitions, picking up four assists, and was recently called up to the Italy squad for the first time.
