For a week now, various reports from Spain have indicated Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign Domingos Duarte in the ongoing window.
Three days ago, we carried a report from AS, who explained the north London club made a ‘first offer’ of €8m, but the proposal was rejected by the La Liga side.
On Thursday, Onda Vasca explained Nuno Espírito Santo’s side have a ‘slim’ chance to acquire the 26-year-old’s services after a ‘derisory’ first offer.
The defender has a €30m release clause in his contract that expires in 2023 and the Spanish club, who are open to letting Duarte leave, want an offer much higher than €8m.
Spurs interest in the Portuguese centre-back is also discussed in Friday’s edition of AS and they once again relay the claims they made earlier this week.
Although Granada are concerned over the possibility of losing the player in the coming days, due to the Premier League side’s interest, AS say ‘there has been no news’ from Tottenham to sign Duarte since their initial proposal was rejected by Roberto Moreno’s side.
If Nuno’s side are keen to sign Duarte, they will have to act fast and submit an improved proposal.
