Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech has been on loan at Galatasaray since last summer and this move hasn’t worked out well for both him and the Turkish club.
The winger has managed four goals and two assists from 14 games as injuries restricted his game time this season.
He’s currently on the sidelines with an ankle injury and the Süper Lig side aim is to cut short the Chelsea loanee’s stay, according to Fanatik.
The winter market in Turkey closes later today and the Istanbul club are keen on signing Lazio’s Daichi Kamada on loan. They need to get rid one of their foreign players to make room for the Japanese and the focus is currently on the Morocco international.
Galatasaray want to sacrifice the Chelsea owned player but he’s ‘suspended negotiations’ due to his injury.
Since the 30-year-old is on loan from the west London club, Galatasaray can’t earn a fee from his exit. Therefore, they are working on terminating his contract.
It’s claimed this is ‘not possible’ without offering compensation to Ziyech, but the report states the Istanbul club will sit at the table for ‘one last time’. If he agrees, they will sign Kamada.
Galatasaray have a few hours left and need to act quickly.
