West Ham United have been linked with Nahitan Nandez repeatedly over the past year, although claims went relatively quiet in recent months.

Corriere dello Sport explain the midfielder’s performance standards had dropped, however, he’s recently returned to better form and that’s seen his suitors, including West Ham, gather again.

The 25-year-old’s good patch has been ‘tempting’ for clubs including the Hammers, and so they’ve ‘returned’, with the idea to ‘snatch’ the Argentine away from Cagliari Calcio in the next market, according to the Italian newspaper.

Given his improved form, Nandez’s value has ‘regained altitude’ and the report suggests a transfer would cost around €25m. Despite his contract lasting until June 2024, Corriere dello Sport believe it will be ‘difficult’ for Cagliari to keep the player this summer.

Nandez’s versatility may be something that is attracting West Ham, with the player able to perform a number of roles in midfield. Leeds United have also been linked, and it’s thought there could be a tussle for the signing.
