Announced by the Belgian press yesterday, the transfer of Ishak Belfodil to Everton should be made official fairly soon, mostly because the player made it very clear he was enjoying his last training session with Standard Liège on Wednesday afternoon.
DH on Thursday report the 24-year-old, who is currently with the Jupiler Pro League team on a training camp in Spain, came out very professionally yesterday morning as usual, as if his transfer to Everton was pure fiction.
Training with the first-team, the player then went to talk with his agent before eating lunch and returning for the afternoon training session when he could easily have skipped the whole thing in case he picked up an injury.
In the meantime, DH explain the man in charge of getting the transfer to Everton done watched from a hill, constantly looking at his phone, most likely tweaking the last few details of his client’s deal with the Toffees.
And if you wanted real confirmation the player was leaving for Everton, Orlando Sa, his teammate, even told fans who were waiting to take a picture with him: “Enjoy it, these are the last ones you will be able to take with him.”
Whether the fee for the transfer is €12m or €4m, it doesn’t matter.
It seems Ishak Belfodil well and truly is on his way out from Standard Liège to team up with Ronald Koeman at Goodison Park.
Intriguing. Claims from Belgium that Everton have only paid €4m for new striker, rather than €12m. #EFC https://t.co/QjG2e8H3gr
