Lucas Perez’ time at Arsenal could last much less than expected.
With only 21 appearances this season, the player is reportedly unhappy with his lack of minutes at the London club and could be on his way back to Spain soon.
According to La Voz De Galícia, both Perez and Deportivo La Coruña are keen on working on his move back to the club which sold him to Arsenal for €20m last summer. There have already been outline talks on a deal.
But before asking the Gunners for a move, Perez will wait for Arsene Wenger’s decision on his future. If the manager stays, the player knows he won’t have many chances. If Wenger leaves, then he will talk to the next boss and learn his plans.
Deportivo can only do a deal if Arsenal accept a loan. The Spanish side would be Perez’s number one choice in such a scenario. In case he’s sold, then they don’t think they could pay the fee demanded by the Gunners.
