Tottenham Hotspur fullback Serge Aurier is edging closer on a departure from the club, according to reports from France today.
Outlet Soccer Link says the 26-year-old has been negotiating a transfer to AC Milan, and the talks have ‘accelerated’ recently.
It’s claimed the player is keen on joining the Rossoneri, and an agreement between himself and the club could happen soon.
Tottenham, however, are not letting it happen so easily. Soccer Link claims Spurs are demanding at least €25m for Aurier’s departure, and the clubs are still to find a deal.
They don’t say how much Milan are offering for the player, but it sounds like Spurs will have to make a discount for things to happen.
Serge Aurier hasn’t been part of Mauricio Pochettino’s recent plans, as he’s still to enter the pitch this season. Tottenham paid the same €25m to sign him from PSG in 2017, so it seems they only want to recover their money.
