On Tuesday, Arsenal website Le Grove brought an exclusive that Sven Mislintat is set to leave Arsenal, possibly before the end of the month.
The information came from three separate sources, one inside the Premier League club, but the reason for an exit was unclear.
Shortly after the claims from Le Grove, The Independent published their own story saying Bayern Munich are keen on appointing Mislintat themselves.
Germany’s Kicker have picked these claims up and they tried to contact the man himself but weren’t able to get a comment. On the Bayern Munich side of the claims, they contacted their sources and Kicker state the club hasn’t reached out for the Arsenal man.
They make of point of saying they don’t think The Independent are the type of publication to pluck this from thin air, but they’ve been told nothing has happened at this stage.
Bild’s Christian Falk, who is probably the best informed reporter on the Bavarian club, hasn’t given his opinion either way yet.
Update: Falk has now added his take, and backs the whole thing up!
