French defender Mathieu Debuchy has lost his place in the Arsenal starting XI to Hector Bellerin following a series of injury.
The 30-year-old spent the past six months on loan at Ligue 1 side Bordeaux. He failed to make an impact there, and even suffered an injury towards the end of the season.
His future at Arsenal is quite uncertain, and many expect him to leave.
According to a latest report on Spanish website Deporteva Valenciano, Valencia have identified Mathieu Debuchy as a replacementforf Antonio Barragan should he leave this summer.
Barragan’s departure could open the doors for Debuchy, but for some reason the Spanish website believe the 30-year-old will come for free.
Debuchy still has three years left on his contract at Arsenal, and it’d be a mighty chunk of goodwill to let him leave for nothing.
