NtvSpor claim Fenerbahçe have agreed in principle with Sunderland the signing of Jeremain Lens. The Dutchman spent last season on loan with the Turkish giants and they’re keen to take him back.
The Turkish website report that, after hard negotiations, Fenerbahçe president Aziz Yildirim has convinced Sunderland to sell Lens.
It’s been claimed Fenerbahçe will sign Lens permanently, but the transfer fee hasn’t yet been revealed. Despite recent reports otherwise, Fenerbahçe manager Aykut Kocaman is very keen to work with the Sunderland outcast, as he believes he can be a key player for him next season.
However, NtvSpor have also reported personal terms have yet to be agreed with Lens. Fenerbahçe have offered him what they believe is a good offer, but the player is insisting on more money.
The Turkish club have informed the Sunderland owned player their latest offer is also their final one, and they’re hoping Lens will accept the terms. If Lens rejects this, then Fenerbahçe will move on to other targets.
