Leeds United haven’t given up their pursuit of FC Twente midfielder Mateusz Klich, according to claims in the Dutch media. The Championship club have had a bid for the Poland international turned down by the Dutch side in recent days.

Twente Insite today report Leeds United are expected to come back in with a second bid for Klich this summer, after their first offer was rejected. Leeds United have been linked with the 27-year-old in recent weeks as they look to bolster their midfield for next season.

Twente have recently brought in two midfielders, which has also led to speculation over Klich’s future at the club. Leeds United’s interest in the player was first reported in the Netherlands a few weeks ago, and by the time this filtered through to Poland there were reports of an approach for the player, and even an offer.

These claims in his home country proved to be premature, but in recent days Leeds United have stepped up their pursuit of the player.
