AC Milan forward Keisuke Honda looks set to leave the Serie A club in the summer, according to claims in Italy. The Japan international looks surplus to requirements at the San Siro, and has been linked with a move to Sunderland and Hull City.
TMW have reported Honda will look to exit AC Milan at the end of the season, and a move to the Premier League or the MLS is his likeliest option. The Japan international’s contract with the Italian giants expires in the summer, and it’s unlikely he will be offered an extension.
TMW claim Sunderland and Hull City could be interested in landing Honda on a free transfer after being linked with the player in the last window. Both clubs will be looking to strengthen in the next transfer window, but it depends on the circumstances of either club.
With Sunderland and Hull City facing the prospect of dropping down into the Championship it would be difficult convincing Honda to sign for them.
Hull City have tried to sign the player this year after we covered reports from the last window they tried to sign the AC Milan outcast on deadline day.
Honda is one of the players most linked to the Premier League over the past five years and nothing has come of it. Maybe this time things will be different, with him being free.
