Last night Fenerbahce lost their first game of the season against Super Lig leaders Alanyaspor and after the game former Fenerbahce and Turkey national team star Ridvan Dilmen claimed Tottenham Hotspur again watched Vedat Muriqi.
Last week there were reports Spurs attended Kosovo’s games against the Czech Republic and England in order to get a lowdown on the 25 year old ahead of the next transfer window.
Speaking about the game, NTV pundit said Vedat hadn’t played his best game for Yellow Canaries and that Tottenham’s interest may be affecting him: “Vedat did okay but it wasn’t his best game for Fenerbahce. Tottenham sent a scout to Alanya to watch him in action today. I think that might have played a part in his indifferent performance.”
Along with Tottenham, reports from the Turkish press say Manchester United scout Krsto Kilibarda was also at present in Alanya as the Red Devils monitor the forward.
One average match is likely just that, and given what the footballer has gone through in his life it’s unlikely he’d be rocked by a Tottenham scout.
Muriqi is under contract at the Ulker Stadium until June 2023.
