Bayern Munich are in a bit of a pickle.
Fifth in the Bundesliga, they’re seven points behind leaders Borussia Dortmund.
There’s been talk of player unrest with manager Niko Kovac, and Franck Ribery has been accused of slapping a pundit three times after the weekend loss to BVB.
Reinforcements are needed, and as Rheinische Post explains, that would ideally see them raid Dortmund and weaken their rivals whilst strengthening themselves. It’s a well trodden path.
But Dortmund got tighter on contracts, not willing to continue to so easily be Bayern’s feeder club, so there needs to be more creative thought.
That’s where it’s suggested Dodi Lukebakio could come in.
The Watford owned player is on loan at Fortuna Dusseldorf, who are 17th out of eighteen teams in the Bundesliga, but he must be impressing.
It’s explained the 21 year old is ‘Fast, powerful and technically savvy’ but wouldn’t come cheap. Because he belongs to Watford, Rheinische Post say the player would be ‘very expensive’, even for Bayern.
The Premier League club signed Lukebakio from Anderlecht in the January 2018 transfer window, and have him on a contract to June 2022.
