Manchester United are currently in a tug or war with Leicester City for Harry Maguire.
The England defender is thought to be the next priority for the Red Devils in the transfer market, but despite claims going back over a week of a deal being agreed, and even a medical taking place, the England man remains very much a Leicester City player.
There’s been talk of various alternatives this week, none of them very strong, and France’s SoccerLink bring Kalidou Koulibaly back into the picture.
The Napoli defender, born in France, is considered to be one of the best in Europe, however, it’s been thought he’s pretty much out of reach for Manchester United or anyone else who may be interested in his services this summer.
SoccerLink claim there’s ‘very strong interest’ from the Premier League club and they even say the potential deal will be the subject of an agent meeting this week.
According to the claims, Manchester United are set to meet Fali Ramadami this week and Koulibaly will be ‘the main subject’ of that meeting.
A move for the Napoli man at this stage of the window feels unlikely and he’d also potentially be even more expensive than Maguire.
