As Moussa Marega continues to wait for offers from the Premier League, perhaps they could finally arrive at FC Porto next month.

Newspaper A Bola has a story today claiming the player’s performances at the Africa Cup of Nations could attract some clubs to bid for him.

They recall that the likes of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Leicester City and West Ham have all recently been linked to the player.

And although the €40m seemed to be a problem, the striker can finally prove himself at the tournament and convince these clubs to pay the fee.

The Africa Cup of Nations starts next Friday, and Marega is set to captain Mali in the tournament.

Playing for Porto this season, the striker has scored 21 goals and made 11 assists in 47 appearances.

Although the Foxes and Wolves were only linked to Marega a couple of times, West Ham’s chase for the striker has been reported for a while now.

With the player’s move to the Premier League being considered for so long, we pretty much doubt that it would depend on a national team tournament.
