Wanting a striker reinforcement before the end of the transfer window, Nottingham Forest and Sabri Lamouchi have been looking around France for their man.
All signs point towards Nuno da Costa, currently contracted to Strasbourg in Ligue 1, with claims he is on the verge of completing a move to City Ground, but the Championship side tried someone else as well.
According to Ouest-France journalist Antoine Raguin, Nottingham Forest attempted to sign Angers striker Stéphane Bahoken, but the player turned down the opportunity as he doesn’t want to leave the club midway through the season.
That suggests Lamouchi could make another attempt in the summer and be successful, although we’ll have to see if he’s needed once/if Da Costa comes in.
Info mercato @AngersSCO : Stéphane Bahoken ne souhaite pas quitter le club cet hiver. Il aurait refusé une proposition de Nottingham Forest (D2 anglaise).

We only say this because despite the deal being announced as close in France a couple of days ago, the player appeared to have little idea of the move.
Bahoken has only started ten games for Angers this season in the league, making 16 appearances in all competitions, during which has scored four goals and assisted once.
