Manchester United are back being linked to VfB Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic.
It was in May that the Red Devils had been mentioned in a story about the 25-year-old. Back then, the Old Trafford side were said to be in a big competition with Bundesliga giants for the signing.
The interest from Manchester United is today backed up by Sky Sport Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg. He claims Kalajdzic is a ‘candidate’ for Erik ten Hag’s side, and talks with his entourage have already started.
The reporter points out that Old Trafford is a ‘very interesting’ destination for the player, but also makes it clear that there’s been ‘no personal meeting’ for the signing so far.
Regarding those previous reports about the competition, Plettenberg now writes that the likes of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are not in the race for the player, so that could definitely give Manchester United a clearer path for the signing.
Kalajdzic, however, is not the only striker the Red Devils have on their agenda, because as written in the same report, Brian Bobbey from RB Leipzig is a target as well.
