Fotomac claim Stoke City are targeting Galatasaray’s Turkish central defender Serdar Aziz in this window.
The English club are still hoping to bolster their defensive options in this transfer window after agreeing a deal with Everton to bring Ashley Williams in on loan.
Stoke City start their league campaign this Sunday against Leeds United, but are still keen to recruit this summer. Fotomac say Stoke City have offered €5m to Galatasaray to sign Aziz, which has been described as a ‘surprise’ bid from the Championship club.
There have been no reports of talks between Stoke City and Galatasaray, but with the offer now tabled this should happen soon.
Aziz is a Turkish international who has 15 caps for his country and has been playing for Galatasaray since the start of 2016/17 season.
The 27 year old won the league title with the Istanbul club last season and alongside Manchester City’s Jason Denayer they formed a decent partnership during the closing stages of the campaign.
Aziz played 27 games for Galatasaray and is under contract with the club until June 2020.
