It seems Bruno Martins Indi is finally closer to a permanent Stoke City move.

As reported by Dutch outlet De Telegraaf today, Porto have finally agreed a fee with the Potters, and accepted an offer of around €8m for the player.

The Portuguese side were reportedly demanding €12m, but accepted to reduce the price as Martins Indi only has one year left in his contract.

Crystal Palace were also said to be interested in the defender, who even spoke to his compatriot Frank de Boer, but he’ll end up heading to Stoke where he already has a place in the squad.

The Dutchman was expected to be left on the bench at Porto, so it was quite predictable that the club would end up bending later on in the transfer window due to their chance to make a few millions on a reserve player.

Indi already spent the last season at Stoke on a loan deal, having made 37 appearances. Manager Mark Hughes has never hidden the will to count on him for more time, and now it seems the club finally have got him.
