Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has returned to Merseyside following his 18 month stay at LA Galaxy, and reports suggest the 36-year-old might continue playing.
Gerrard is reportedly in talks with League 1 side MK Dons over the vacant managerial position, whilst has also been linked with a move to Inter Milan in January to continue his playing career by the English media.
A return to his boyhood club Liverpool hasn’t been ruled out yet, and Liverpool Echo reported the club are in talks with Gerrard over a coaching role under Jurgen Klopp.
However, it would be a surprise if Gerrard moved to Inter, as he’s always maintained he doesn’t want to play for another club in Europe after Liverpool.
Italian journalist Pierpaolo Marino has been speaking on Rai Sport (via Inter News) on the possibility of Gerrard signing for the Serie A club.
Marino insists it’s unlikely the former Liverpool and England captain would sign for Inter, as the Serie A giants are keen on signing younger talents.
He said: “Steven Gerrard at Inter? I don’t think so. It wouldn’t be in line with their policy of signing the most talented young players in the world.”
Inter are perhaps linked to more players than any other club in Europe, this just seems to be yet another red herring.
