Diego Fabbrini is 26 years of age and during his football career has already represented 9 different clubs. It’s fair to say that so far Fabbrini has been something of a journeyman, and a loan away from Birmingham City suggests the trend is continuing.
Just over a year ago Birmingham City signed Fabbrini from Watford. The Italian had never succeeded at Watford and was sent out on a series of four loans.
A similar trend could be happening at Birmingham, with him already out on loan to Serie B’s Spezia.
Gazzetta dello Sport report in their Serie B section on Saturday that Fabbrini is looking to ‘start from the bottom, return to the top’ and get back to the best football of his career.
It’s believed the transfer to Birmingham City was something of a mistake, and now Fabbrini has the chance to get his career back on track and look to climb the football ladder again, this time likely in Italy.
