While there are a lot of players out there who would love to play for Newcastle United down the line in their career, Federico Chiesa is not one of them.
The Italian winger has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, with the Magpies among the clubs often touted as a potential interested party.
However, journalist Ciro Venerato, speaking on Rai Sport and relayed by Tutto Juve, believes that Chiesa is adamant that he has no intention of ever moving to Newcastle.
The reporter was discussing the player’s future, with it up in the air since Max Allegri appears to be staying, following the multiple delays Juventus have faced in trying to get their player to renew.
While he does mention that Chiesa could end up in the Premier League, with Manchester United reportedly interested, Venerato also adds a tidbit about Newcastle.
He said: “The player has already reiterated to his agent Fali Ramadani that he does not intend to move to Newcastle.”
Why that is the case isn’t said, but perhaps the fact the Magpies are currently having a worse season than the last, currently 10th in the Premier League, might have something to do with it.
