Just last week, we saw claims that West Ham United had reportedly made a bid for Inter Milan’s Valentin Carboni, currently on loan at Monza.

The young midfielder has been getting regular game time during his temporary spell, and that led to the Serie A side turning down said offer, with some even saying the Hammers never made a move.

Well, the player’s new agent, Alessandro Moggi, has met with Inter on Monday, and FC Inter News are reporting that West Ham remain keen in him.

They state that the Serie A side are currently asking for €25m in order to sanction a sale, with the Hammers not the only interested party, with three clubs having ‘come forward in recent days’.

Fiorentina and Brentford have also joined the race, in which West Ham are ‘stuck at €15m’, seemingly unwilling or unable to go any higher for the 18-year-old.

Neither of the other two have matched Inter’s demands for now, meaning there is still room to manoeuvre for the London Stadium residents if they can find the money.

In the meantime, until someone puts €25m on the table, Carboni will be staying at Monza on loan, with just a few days before the transfer window shuts.
