Declan Rice starred for Arsenal in their 3-0 Champions League win over Real Madrid at the Emirates on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old England international opened the scoring in the 58th minute via a free-kick. Rice got his name on the scoresheet 12 minutes later, again scoring from a free-kick.

Mikel Merino extended Arsenal’s lead in the 75th minute and it was assisted by left-back Myles Lewis-Skelly.

Spanish newspapers Marca, AS and Mundo Deportivo have given their ratings to Arsenal players after the impressive win over Real Madrid.

We start with Marca, and they gave three stars (out of three) to Rice and Lewis-Skelly. Merino, David Raya, William Saliba, Martin Ødegaard, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli all got two stars.

A single star was given to Jakub Kiwior, Thomas Partey and Jurrien Timber. Mikel Arteta got three stars.

AS also gave Rice and Saka a score of three and one to only Kiwior. The rest of Arsenal’s playing XI from yesterday were rated two.

Mundo gave three stars to Rice and Arteta. A single star was given to Kiwior and Lewis-Skelly and the rest of the Gunners’ players got two stars.

The return leg of the quarter-final will take place at the Santiago Bernabéu on April 16th.
